My baby sister graduated from high school this year. I really wanted to be there to celebrate this with her. First I wanted us to take a road trip back to New Jersey so we could take all the kids with us. But, Al recently started a new position at work and he would not be able to take off of work for as long as we would need for a trip like that. So, we started looking at flights. Finally, Wednesday night we booked a flight and decided to keep it a secret from everyone. We flew in on Friday and went straight to my parents house. We rang the doorbell and surprised them with not only ourselves, but with Sophia who they had never met before. We spent the night eating pizza, talking and hanging out and got to meet my brothers girlfriend of 3-years for the first time.
Saturday we went into Ridgewood and got bagels for breakfast with a great old friend who we miss dearly. Took a drive past our old house. Then we were off to Michelle's party. It was a great day of seeing family we haven't seen in a couple of years. On the way back to my parents house we stopped by Al's cousin Karen's house so she could meet Sophia.

The family. If only the other three were there.
Sunday we headed to B&W bakery for donuts and crumb cake. Then we went by Al's cousin Michael and his wife Tara for Sunday lunch....raviolis, Italian bread, fresh mozzarella. It was so nice to see their three kids, two of which I had never met before. Such cuties they are. Can't wait to see them again when we all go to Disney together.

Sophia & Isabella

Sophia & Luca (can you tell they are only two months apart?!)
Monday morning we were back on a plane headed home. It was a great weekend seeing family and friends we miss.
