Backyard Campout

Last weekend we were supposed to take another camping trip. But, at the last minute we decided not to go. Al (who never wanted to do anything but tent camp) got spoiled our last trip when we stayed in the yurt and was not looking forward to sleeping on the ground this time. And, we have a couple of big trips coming up this fall...so he didn't want to take even more days off of work. To make it up to the boys we grilled our camping hot dogs, and made s'mores. The first night they slept in a tent made between their two beds. We had to hold off of the backyard for a night because their were thunderstorms in the weather forecast.

The second night the boys and Al camped out in the backyard. It was much more comfortable then a campsite (for Al...the boys were on the air mattress). They had a great time, and can't wait to do it again.
